Profil Blink 182

Name : Blink 182

Originated in : San Diego

Band Members : Mark Hoppus (bass/vocals), Tom Delonge (guitar/vocals) and Scott Raynor (drums)

Debut Album : Fly Swatter (1993)

 Blink 182 Trivia
Blink-182 won a Teen Choice Award, a Blockbuster Music Award, and appeared on the MTV Awards '00 where they performed "All The Small Things" and won Best Group Video. In Europe they received an MTV Europe Award for Best New Act. They performed on Saturday Night Live and the Tonight Show (twice), appeared in American Pie and opened the Billboard Music Awards.

 Blink 182 Detailed Biography
Originally known as simply Blink, the trio band was formed near San Diego by Mark Hoppus (b. 15 March 1972, USA; bass/vocals), who had moved to San Diego to study, and Tom DeLonge (b. 13 December 1975, USA; guitar/vocals). Hoppus and DeLonge were joined by drummer Scott Raynor, and began a non-stop gigging schedule on the local punk circuit. They debuted in 1993 with a self-released EP, Fly Swatter. After releasing the album Buddha in 1994, the trio signed to Grilled Cheese/Cargo and released Cheshire Cat the following year which featured several of the songs from the demo tape. Shortly afterwards the trio were forced to adopt the new moniker Blink-182 following the threat of legal action by an Irish techno outfit already recording as Blink. Despite the enforced name change, the trio's popularity continued to grow owing to support slots with several leading punk bands including No FX and Pennywise, and their ubiquitous presence on the skating and snow boarding scenes. They also developed a reputation for stripping off during live shows. The trio has a penchant for gloriously immature lyrics, crafting great tunes. The third blink-182 LP, Dude Ranch, was released in 1997. Dude Ranch expanded the group's audience and won the attention of major labels. blink-182 wound up signing with MCA, who released the band's fourth album, Enema of the State, in the summer of 1999. Travis Barker, formerly with the Aquabats, later replaced Raynor. After selling over four million copies of Enema of the State, the trio played on with the limited edition release The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back) in fall 2000. Barker appeared on the band's major label debut, Enema Of The State, which debuted in the US Top 10 in June 1999 and went on to sell over a million copies in barely two months. The album was helped by two highly catchy hits, "What's My Name Again?" and "All The Small Things". Following the release of a stop-gap live set, the band confirmed the commercial appeal of their scatological punk rock when their fifth album, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, debuted at the top of the US charts in June 2001. DeLonge and Barker concurrently enjoyed success as part of Blink-182 soundalikes, Box Car Racer, while the latter also joined Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong in the Transplants. The band also graced the covers of Rolling Stone, Alternative Press (twice), Teen People, Teen and CosmoGirl, just to name a few.

Gencatan Senjata Gaza Sudah Sangat Dekat

Gencatan Senjata Gaza Sudah Sangat Dekat

Profil Green Day

Formed:
1988 at Pinole Valley High School, Pinole, California.
Members:

Billie Joe Armstrong - Vocals and Guitar
Mike Dirnt - Bass
Tre Cool - Drums
Quote from Vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong:

"You know when people say 'My favorite band is the Who,' and you know they're talking about a classic rock band. Well, I want people to talk about Green Day like that."
Trivia Fact:

The first name of Green Day was Sweet Children.
Early Years:

Green Day emerged out of the Northern California underground punk scene in the late 80's. Their first album 1,039 / Smoothed Out Slappy Hours was a compilation of three previous released EP's. Shortly after the album was released Tre Cool replaced the band's drummer, John Kiffmeyer, completing the trio that make up the group today. After a second album Kerplunk, released in 1992, the band signed to major record label Reprise.
Breakthrough:

Dookie was released on Reprise in the spring of 1994. MTV jumped on the video for the album's first single "Longview" shortly after the album was released. The second single "Basket Case" topped the modern rock singles chart for 5 weeks. The band continued to gain commercial momentum and Dookie eventually reached #2 on the pop albums chart and sold 10 million copies. The single "When I Come Around" crossed over to pop radio making Green Day one of the biggest bands in the world.

The followup album, 1995's Insomniac, was edgier and failed to include any major hit singles. The band talked publicly about dismay with their massive commercial success, and Insomniac managed to jettison a significant number of fans. The album sold only 2 million copies. Green Day canceled a 1996 tour claiming exhaustion and retreated from the spotlight to record 1997's Nimrod. Critics were pleased with the new album but sales were disappointing even though the ballad "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" was a left-field hit.

After a 3 year hiatus, the album Warning was released. It was the most direct pop album the group had released yet but failed to ignite a great deal of excitement. After the greatest hits collection International Superhits appeared in 2001 it looked like the band's glory days were over.

The group seriously considered breaking up, but instead spent a year working out their issues. After studio tapes for a new album were stolen, the band hastily put together a new album inspired at least in part by Queen's expansive "Bohemian Rhapsody." The result was the anti-Bush rock opera American Idiot. Although the band feared it would be a failure, the album turned out to be a massive success resulting in the trio's first #1 hit album, a Grammy award for rock album of the year, and a #2 pop single "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams."

Recommended Album:

Inhuman Rampage

This album has some fantastic guitar work by Herman Li and Sam Totman. Dragonforce plays power metal a little faster and a little more intensely than your average band and call their style "extreme power metal." Vocalist Z.P. Theart has a voice that's perfect for the genre. It's powerful and soaring with a lot of range and emotion.

Ini adalah band tergila yang pernah aku dengar. Nyangka gak, kalau lagu heavy metal ( sangat ngerock ) dalam 7 menit ? Itu adalah lagu "Through Fire and Flame". Sayang, di www.4shared.com tidak ada setelah aku cari...
